How it works

Every duel is musical: every attack, block and Brio restore is earned through a real music exercise: pitch, rhythm, sight-reading, singing and more. Five floors, ever-stronger rivals, no participation rewards.

Every skill is tied to a music exercise. How well you perform decides how strong it lands.

Questions

What is Pulsebound?

Roguelikes of musical duels you play in the browser. You cross five floors full of rivals, and every attack, block and Brio restore is a real music exercise: how well you answer decides how hard it lands.

What does it train?

Ear training (notes, intervals, chords, scales, melodies and timbre), rhythm, sight-reading, singing in tune and theory on the staff. Notes are named in solfège, DO RE MI FA SOL LA TI, in both languages.

Is it free?

Yes, during the beta.

Do I need an account?

Not to try the exercises on this page. To play the game and keep your progress, sign in with Google or with the username your school gives you.

What do I play it on?

Any modern browser, on a computer, tablet or phone. On a phone it plays sideways, and you can install it to your home screen.

Can I use it with a class?

Yes. Teachers create courses and student accounts (a username and a code, no email), see what each student struggles with and export the class as CSV. Course content follows the Spanish conservatory Lenguaje Musical curriculum, years 1 to 6.

Which languages?

English and Spanish. Switch any time, at the top of this page or in the game’s settings.
